Brown Rats are known to be common everywhere. Their nocturnal habits may explain the shortage of records sent to the Atlas.

Moles are common in suitable habitat (permanent pastures, road verges, villages and woodland) throughout the county. The distribution map suggests that they are commoner in the north of the county.

Foxes occur throughout the county in both rural and urban areas.
