By Maps prepared by John Partridge
Readers will be aware that collection of records for the new Worcestershire Mammal Atlas is in full swing. The maps that follow show the number of tetrad records in the WBRC database. It's the BLACK dots (or rather the lack of them!) that are important because they show the records sent in since 2000. We need more records! Please join in and help. We need sightings of road casualties and of common animals (rabbits, grey squirrels) to see if there have been changes since the 1980's records were collected. And we know muntjac deer occur in many more woods than the maps shows - we just need the records! Wherever you go and whenever you are in the countryside provides an opportunity to record. Another recording form is enclosed with this edition of Worcestershire Record. Also remember the vice-county boundary extends in to the West Midlands as a glance at the maps will show you. There must be moles in Selly Oak, Moseley, Hall Green, Stourbridge, Halesowen .. !
To load all the maps onto the page would take a long time, so please click on the one you wish to see
